A real manager who is current and understands your musical environment (pop, rap, rock etc) is a godsend. My manager is a 💎 no way I could have done this. Separate your jobs so the manager can do theirs not yours as a bandleader, songwriter etc.

Every video is amazing, and any new artist should sit down and every video (take notes and learn)

Dude I love your pods so fricking much. Thank you for all these 2 hour pods. You're such a blessing.
This really shows how long term thinking is important, most relationship in life let alone industries fail to reach better potential off of short term thinking, sacrfices and pleasure. Thanks for staying on your purpose
14:14 – Greeeat question!! I'm inthat position… well no interviews yet but prepared! 👏 (Clip! Haha!)
54:15 – Telling people "I am open for business!" Great advice👏
You guys are talking about the difference of the artist being "mysterious" vs now, with requiring "relatability", and attributing it to the difference in Generations.
Do you think thats really it?
I personally think it was more a product of the time and the limited information. People only heard what labels produced, marketed and put to radio.
Mystery worked because of the distance and limitation of choice.
I guess all in saying is, im not certain that its a difference the people (or generations) themselves, and more a product of an entirely different world and consulption landscape.
MAN NEVER STOP DOING THESE PODCASTS PLEASE
This is the best podcast I’ve listened to about artist management. Thank you so much!
