The thing I've taken away the most from this is just how insular and ignorant a lot Americans are about the UK – its culture, its music, even its basic geography, and most of all Skepta's importance, influence and popularity in the UK which Joyner will never come even remotely close to replicating in his own country. And that's just a fact. Not a "Joyner Fact". An Actual Fact.
And the ignorance is wilful and worn as a badge of honour, look at the way people try to replicate the accent or dismiss bars just because they can't 'get past it' it's so strange to me that you'd be proud of being ignorant and hardly ever leaving your own country.
Skepta kept it real and authentic to who he is and where he's from despite pathetic constant calls for him to 'dumb it down' or make it more accessible for an American audience.
Joyner is like the post-truth rapper – he's definitely very American. He thinks if he just says things then they're true, and so many Americans who came into this biased, just lap it up.
Even if we give Skepta the this round its still 2-1 Joyner…he still lost….
how about writing a response in 24 hours rather then taking a week and lighitng up candles i havnt seen anybody get destroyed yet, for matt hoffa stop skipping over bars if you dont get the referrences go and do the resaerch before making your video.

America was disappointed that Joyner went too light of Skepta. But I think Joyner did his homework and knew that they were asking for heat they couldn’t really handle. Lol. If Joyner goes harder than his last diss track those people will be calling for a law suit for defamation just like Drake. Lol! They call us ignorant for not understanding the art form that we created the way they do it. But they are ignorant because they (many of them not all) have zero knowledge of Hip Hop history, customs, or traditions. Otherwise they wouldn’t be complaining about lies in a rap battle! LOL!

ppl got this twisted, skepta was gona release and joyner made a comment so skepta said hell give him 2 lines, the first track was at multiple ppl but mainly asap rocky, joyner got a few lines n responded naturally with a full track. so a track v a few lines, joyner got it. americans got no understanding of uk language so 2nd track went over most heads cause round 2 was skeptas with ease. this track is a bit meh in fairness but without a reply its a default round win
